Packers get back in win column

Brett Favre threw for 277 yards and Antonio Freeman scored the go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter as the 1996 Green Bay Packers defeated the 1976 Oakland Raiders 31-28 in Week 10 Super League action.

Favre connected with Freeman on a 16-yard pass in the back of the end zone with 5:15 remaining. Oakland's final possession stalled at the Green Bay 49. The Packers improved to 6-4, one game behind the league-leading 2004 Patriots and 1984 49ers. Oakland dropped to 3-7.

Freeman and Beebe each topped 100 yards for Green Bay, which snapped a two-game losing streak. Ken Stabler finished 12 of 28 for 141 yards and TD passes to Cliff Branch and Dave Casper.
