Mark Rypien threw three touchdown passes to lead the 1991 Washington Redskins to a 33-24 victory over the 2004 New England Patriots.
Rypien completed only 11 passes but made them count -- he connected on strikes of 33 and 26 yards to Ricky Sanders and 21 yards to Gary Clark. Washington improved to 4-4 while New England fell to 6-2, still tied for first with the '84 49ers.
The Redskins led 30-24 with the Patriots driving when Monte Coleman intercepted a Tom Brady pass. That led to Chip Lohmiller's fourth field of the game.
Brady finished with 230 yards passing and three touchdowns, two to David Givens. Corey Dillon ran for 106 yards for New England.
