ESPN Pick 12 Challenge

Eligibility: ESPN Pick 12 Challenge ("Contest") is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are eighteen (18) years of age or older as of 9/13/09. Employees, officers, directors, agents and representatives of ESPN/Starwave Partners d/b/a ESPN Internet Venture ("Sponsor"), Project Support Team, Inc. ("Administrator") and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising/promotion/fulfillment agencies, anyone else connected with the production and distribution of this Contest, NASCAR, Inc., and its affiliates and each of their respective employees, shareholders, officers, directors, agents, members, personnel and assigns, (hereafter, collectively "Released Parties") and their immediate families (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in their same household, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. Contest is void where prohibited by law. To enter the Contest, entrant must be a member of ESPN.com. Registration is free. If entrant is not a member, entrant may register by clicking on the link as indicated on the Contest entry page and following the instructions. Entrant will be asked to provide his or her name, address, email address, telephone number, birth date, gender and to select a password. Entrant will also be asked to consent to receive promotional emails. Consenting to receive promotional emails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to become a member or to win a prize. As a member, entrant may enter the Contest by first logging in to the system with entrant's current username and password. Entrant may then be asked to answer survey questions or to consent to receive promotional emails from the Sponsor. Answering survey questions or consenting to receive promotional emails is optional and does not have to be agreed to in order to be eligible to enter the Contest or to win a prize. Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all contact information is up-to-date and accurate.
How to Participate: Visit www.ESPN.com/pick12 between 7:00:00PM Eastern Time ("ET") on 9/12/09 and 3:20:00PM ET on 11/22/09 ("Promotion Period"), complete the ESPN.com member sign-in and fully complete the online entry form in its entirety by arranging the twelve (12) designated NASCAR® drivers in the order you believe they will finish the upcoming week's designated NASCAR® race and answering the tie-breaker question (hereafter "Prediction" or "Entry"). There is a limit of one (1) Prediction per person and per valid e-mail address per Weekly Entry Period (as defined below) for the duration of the Promotion Period. Additional Predictions beyond the specified limit for any Weekly Entry Period from any one person or e-mail address will be void. All Entries must be received by the deadline of the applicable Weekly Entry Period to be considered. In the event of a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the name of the "authorized account holder" associated with any given e-mail address will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, an online service provider, or another organization that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. Proof (to Sponsor's satisfaction) of being the authorized account holder may be required by Sponsor. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, incomplete, late, stolen, garbled, inaccurate, undelivered, damaged, or misdirected Predictions or Entries, email messages; failures or malfunctions of phones, phone lines or telephone systems or other communications malfunctions; interrupted or unavailable network, server, satellite, cable, Internet Service Provider (ISP) or other connections including those through www.espn.com; miscommunications, failed computer hardware or software or other technical failures; garbled, lost, misrouted or scrambled transmissions; any error, omission, interruption, defect or delay in any transmission or communication; traffic congestion on the Internet or for any technical problem, including but not limited to any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in this Contest; printing, typographical or other errors appearing within these Official Rules or in any Contest-related advertisements or other materials; or other errors or problems of any kind whether mechanical, human, technical, electronic or otherwise, including, without limitation, any errors or problems that may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Predictions or Entries, the cancellation or postponement of any NASCAR®-sanctioned race, or the announcement of the prizes. The use of automated entry or similar devices or any other means to subvert the entry process is prohibited and Entries through such prohibited devices are void. By entering this Contest, entrants give their express permission to be contacted by Sponsor by telephone, e-mail and/or postal mail for Contest purposes only.
Winner Determination: At the conclusion of each Weekly Entry Period, the individual who submitted a Prediction that correctly matches the order in which the twelve (12) designated NASCAR® drivers finished the applicable race ("Correct Prediction") will receive $10,000, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules. In the event that no individual makes a Correct Prediction, the individual that submitted the Closest Prediction to the actual order ("Closest Prediction"), as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, will receive $10,000, subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the terms of these Official Rules. In the event more than one (1) individual makes a Correct Prediction or Closest Prediction, the tiebreaker question (featured on the online entry form) will be utilized to determine one (1) Weekly Prize winner from amongst all Correct Predictions or Closest Predictions for the applicable Weekly Entry Period. *Each Weekly Entry Period will begin immediately upon the end of the previous Weekly Entry Period, with the exception of Weekly Entry Period #1 which will begin at 7:00:00PM ET. Each Weekly Entry Period will end 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start of the featured NASCAR race designated for each Weekly Entry Period as outlined below:
