Rex Burkhead

A senior from Plano, Texas, Rex Burkhead has developed a special relationship with a young boy with a rare brain tumor, visiting with him both in-person and by scheduling Skype sessions online. The Cornhusker tailback also hosted a family tour of Memorial Stadium for a boy who was recovering from a life-threatening illness, and appeared on a public service announcement challenging youth to avoid bullying. On the field, Burkhead was named to the All-Big Ten First Team in 2011.
